The LIR team has identified English language programs in Basateen as one of the strengths through which the Basateen community can serve the local population.
On June 10, the LIR team, in cooperation with local performing troupe Siamo Banda and al–Amal Club, held the first public showing of their “Importance of Education” campaign.
It’s known that Kharaz camp is a geographically isolated area and the people there cannot get food except the food provided by WFP. Vegetables and fruits are not available. Thus, the refugees there established a Friday market. Refugees’ traders and the people from neighboring villages come to the camp on that day to sell and buy their goods.
In 2006, ADRA Yemen initiated a Conflict Mitigation Project in 5 governorates which sought to address the root causes of conflict in targeted areas of Yemen by building better conflict management and mitigation capacities among rural communities. We received the following comments upon completion of the project.
